Jeff,

I just listened to to Culture of Contact podcast.

I got kinda worked up over the Steven Basset thing. I agree with you and Jeremy V. Everything that you say - DITTO from me. I see absolutely NOTHING that "proves" in the ETH. Nothing!

I met Steve Basset in Laughlin, and I told him a little bit of my experiences - and how they point to some sort of ongoing abduction (or something?) events.

He said: "I wish they would come for me, I would love to go on-board and meet 'em."

Okay - I came back with: "Just by saying that, You have NO idea what your dealing with." (or something to that effect, I probably mumbled a little)

And then he kept at it, like I said nothing.

Anyway - He's got a weird religious zeal that just creeps me out. ANd, to make matters worse, he's a smart guy, smart enough to make a good point (and be in love with his own voice), but he's MISSING some key insights.

It's like he found a present under the tree on christmas morning, and the little tag says: "To Stephen, from Santa!"

See! It FUCKING PROVES that Santa Clause is REAL!!!!!

Okay - I could go on for 10 more pages - enough!

peace,
M!

Hey Mike-I don't think of Bassett as any sort of zealot, but in my opinion he's grossly ignorant of many facts, and refuses to keep an open slate for other possibilities of origin for our "visitors". The best I can say is he's too married to his theory, and it's (in my view) highly counterproductive to "confirm" this is ET when he knows no more then anyone else. As I said, he's in a position of influence which is obviously where he wanted to be in this...now it's the responsibility comes with it. When I heard this fist pounding "confirmed" ET nonsense come out of his mouth I was shocked beyond belief, and really disappointed.
The ETH could be right, but we don't know that. It would seriously behoove him to post a retraction.
